How can i change node status on the basis of customized pollers. Is this feature available?
One of the actions you can take in the alert engine is to change node status. You can set up the trigger conditions to be based on anything in the database so triggering a custom status from a custom poller is definitely doable. Take a look at the alert actions and let me know if you need any specific assistance with setting this up.

I am not certain as I haven't needed to try it, but you may be able to create a custom poller package and use SNMP polling method for the device. Beyond that I think SAM may be able to fill this need better from the little I have seen of the custom applications that other people have set up for UPS monitoring and the like.
