AppStack delete APPLICATION entries

How do you delete entries in the AppStack APPLICATIONS line?  I went to "Manage Assigned Application Monitors", I selected an entry in the left column for "Application Monitor Template", and on the right I selected and deleted all entries there.   Going back to AppStack display screen, in the APPLIACTIONS line I still see entries, some greyed, others not.  How do you remove the entries in that line and reassign new ones?

If you click the manage applications button in SAM summary

You will then see a list of all the assigned application monitors.

If I delete that Microsoft IIS application monitor it removes it from the node and that won't show up in the appstack as there will be no metrics to display.

Make sure you are definitely in assigned application monitors as below :
