More Developmental Food for Thought

The addition of out of the box basic polling and historical data for the big brand UPS's (APC, Liebert etc) would be a HUGE addition and an attractive option for those with large UPS's (IE the one's that fill up a room).

-percent utilization

etc etc

Yes I know this can be done with custom pollers. This is of course fairly painful and time consuming what I am talking about here is making it turnkey , just like NPM is for Cisco devices and Windows servers.

Good feedback and this is in line with some of our thoughts as well. We are planning going forward to add more depth to Orion in specific technology areas and this is a good example of one.

I think that would be awesome. Not only would it make the product do more for us users but I think it would help increase your footprint with larger companies.

Just to be clear, my thought here with the power thing is that only major brand large UPS's would be supported.

I personally do not see any reason to to waste resources going beyond that. That would cover the majority of people with a NOC of any decent size.

I would agree that major UPS should be supported however, I hope that it would not only be major US brands.
