Alert conditions

I currently have some basic alerts configured. One of which monitors bandwidth of a port. Is there a way to set the alert only to send an alert after the bandwidth (or anything) has sustained the threshold for x amount of time?

You can do exactly what you describe with the Advanced Alert engine, but not with basic alerts.

Thanks, I have been playing with the advanced alerting for the past few days. I seem to have hit a wall because I cannot find how to do that. Can you give me a few tips? thanks

On the Trigget Conditions tab the bottom of the dialog has a setting for:

Do not trigger this action until condition exists for more than __ ___

You can set the number of seconds|Minutes|hours that the condition will have to exist before the alert is triggered.

Ouch, I'm glad that dog didn't bite me. Time to walk away from Solarwinds for awhile. Thanks for the info..man I must be goin blind or lookin at this way too long.
