is there a way to change the database server?
in what respect; to a new (different) server?
did you search KB articles; probably detailed steps?
move DB/Logs to new server then run config wizard on main NPM system and check database. point to new system. repeat as necessary for any other "additional" poller/web servers you may have.
We setup NMP on another machine. When I configured it I was unaware that we had an sql server already with all the information. So the database is local instead of connecting to the sql server where the information is located.
ok, so if you want to just point to new DB server, then just run the config wiz on NPM Box and click on Database and click next. it should prompt you to point to server, user, DB, user, etc...
