How do I import a Visio network diagram.

Hello,

I have created a Visio drawing of our server racks and I would like to import this into Orion NPM and link the servers to the diagram - is this possible?

Yes, create a new map in Network Atlas, set the backgroud to a JPG export from visio, then add the nodes onto the background in the correct locations

Thats a shame, so it's just a static background with objects placed on it. It would be nice to of have each server sort of get highlight should it go down or a disk flask amber if there is a disk issue etc.

Yes, it is just static, but the objects show up/down status.

agreed, with Staurt. If you want to get fancy or have too much time on your hands, you can create "icon" images to put over...see image

I created blade icons, port icons, switchblade icons, and switch icons, all in multi-colors for various status. you can do the same for servers in a rack.
