A custom webpage

Hi everybody.

This is my first post, and I did not know about this forum before. I was thinking it was a good idea to ask here too about my problem just to have an advice.

We use APM and I was asked to give the possibility to the users to check graph and performances about different ports. The problem is that they don't want to deal with accounts and passwords and they want a single page about different nodes.

I was thinking that maybe this was possible using the Direct_Link default account and a custom web page with a collection of iframes for each graph or performance chart requested. The problem is that APM doesn't like it. Sometimes some of the iframes are not loaded by the web browser and the problem is on the server side.

Im not a web designer or a web server admin, but did you ever faced something like that or do you have any advice?

I believe you're on the right track with the DirectLink account. I assume you're using the Custom HTML resource on a summary page to construct your iframes?

Can you elaborate on the graphs that you're trying to display? What time period and interval are specifying when generating these graphs? Perhaps the web server is timing out waiting for the graphs to be generated?

What happens if you create and test each iframe as you add them? After how many iframes do you start to encounter problems?

With elaborate the graphs, if you mean if I can change parameters for the view, like "show the last 7 days", yes I can. The browser opens another page with the graph and all the options in a gray panel.

They are 4 iframes and 3 of them are graphs with different time periods: Min/Max/average response time for the last hour with an interval of 5 minutes, Min/Max/average BPS in/out for the last 30 days with an interval of 6 hours and Min/Max/average CPU load for the last 24 hours with an interval of 30 minutes.

The last iframes is the CPU load & memory statistics that is not customizable about time period and interval and it is the only one that isn't affected. Maybe this is the problem and I will test it. thanks for the idea.

One iframe in the web page is ok, two iframes sometimes is not good and I need to refresh. With three iframes the problem happens more often. It depends on the browser and on the client, but creating a web page with iframes not from Orion, everybody doesn't have any problems.
