I would like to be able to add comments or a link to a comment I would prefer a pop up to monitors in APM.
Take this Monitor for Exchange for example MS Exchange Systeme Attendant - without looking it up online I would not know what it does or how important it is for exchange to operate. Now if I were to be able to add the below information in a popup with a mouse over the monitor not only myself but our helpdesk and anyone else who is able to view this monitor would know what it is. I could then link to a more defined message with a hyperlink in the popup.
"This is a critical Exchange service that has many functions, including communication with Active Directory, generating offline address lists, performing message tracking, and generating routing tables. Most other Exchange services depend on the System Attendant. In particular the DSAccess component is critical. "
Not sure if anything like this is possible now but would be really nice to have it included in any future releases if not available now. I know our helpdesk does not know what many of our monitors do nor do our managers that want to monitor everything as well.
