Multiple bespoke port monitoring?

Anyone doing much bespoke port monitoring to work out if a process is accepting connections?

Say an application that listens on say 5 ports (2500-2504), and any one of them not accepting connections means the core app is down?

I would then generate an alert containing information on which port is down and what the remedial action would be. I would also need to be able to generate reports on PORT availability....

Yeah, you could create an application template consisting of five port monitors. Then, as you indicated, you'd create an alert that would trigger if any one of the components (port monitors) are down.

You'd used the Report Writer to create your own custom report for the port monitor availability as well.
