SQL Reports: Banging head on desk
Don331
So I wrote a report that lists our routers in descending order of average response time for the past 30 days:
SELECT AVG(ResponseTime.AvgResponseTime) AS AVERAGE_of_Average_Response_Time,
Nodes.Caption AS NodeName,
Nodes.IP_Address AS IP_Address
FROM
Nodes INNER JOIN ResponseTime ON (Nodes.NodeID = ResponseTime.NodeID)
WHERE
( DateTime BETWEEN 38612 AND 38643 )
GROUP BY Nodes.Caption, Nodes.IP_Address
ORDER BY 1 DESC
Now, the Boss wants two more columns, the interface Speed and the Average Bandwidth.
As I see it, I now have to do multiple INNER JOINs to tie in the Interfaces table. But everytime I add in the
INNER JOIN Interfaces ON (Nodes.NodeID = Interfaces.NodeID)
line, it blows up. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong????

Don,
rossw has posted some SQL queries which you might be able to use to build this report. It requires MS SQL Enterprise Manager to run it.
