Exchange 2000 and 2003 monitor

We have been getting the follwoing event in the APM.... Exchange Server 2000 and 2003 on <mail server> is up.....or this...Exchange Server 2000 and 2003 on <mail server> is in a critical state.....it doesn't list a monitor that is being affected. has anyone else seen this?
