How can we monitor power supply status of any server using SAM? there are some articles for hp and dell servers but we need universal template to monitor any server weather it is IBM Dell or any other?

One solution may be to turn on SNMP on those servers - universal device poller can then be configured for what you want to monitor.
I tried but this didn't work on IBM x3550 M4 server having esxi 5.5. hardware inventory show up except power supply operational status. Did It require any customization in polling?
Yes, on your SAM server you should have a tool called universal device poller. That will allow you to create a poller for any SNMP OID that any device has. A search on Thwack for Universal Device Poller will give you lots of examples of what people are doing.
