Unknown web admin password

All,

I have read a few of the same queries already as mine, but I still cant find an answer to our issue here.

We have Solarwinds installed, but no one can remember the web admin password ( before my time ).

Ive seen the posts where it says delete the password from the database etc, but that just doesnt work. I have deleted the password, but no matter what is put in the password field, even left blank, its says the wrong password.

Has anyone got some ideas as to how I can get this Wed admin back up and running ?

You might have Domain Authentication enabled on the Orion Web server.
Open IIS and make sure Anonymous Access is enabled under the IIS properties.

You can re-enable this once you have set the admin password and changed your Domain account in the Orion GUI to admin.

Ok, bear with me as im not that au fait with IIS. I have right clicked on the Solarwinds website, clicked properties, Directory Security, and then Edit, It shows as a Tick in the Enable Anonymous Access. It has an IUSR User name and a password.

So I guess its not an Anonymous Access issue.. Any other Ideas ?

Sorry, but other than what you have already done (as per this post), there's not much else that can be done.
Perhaps a call to SW support is in order?
