The Orion Database

Hi all,

I am stumped so as many times before I come here looking for an answer.

I need to find out which table in the Orion database would hold the information on Citrix Licensing. We use a power shell script to pull the info and put it into the Solarwinds console so I know the data there I just can't find it. Thanks Pat

What is the end goal of finding the data in the DB? What will you do with it from there? If you're trying to do a data dump of some kind then you could create a report of that component monitor and then export those results to a csv file.

The end goal is to create a report, that can be mailed out to those interested in the total license usage . How could I create a report from that component monitor?

If the goal is to email a report, you don't need which table holds the data.

You can create a new web report, add a resource, choose Custom Table, choose Component from the drop down when it comes to defining Datasource, filter it to the exact component you are interested in.

You should then be able to add in node name, component name and statistical data as columns in your report.

You can schedule this report as well.

If you must know the table name, it is APM_StatisticsUsage. Fill in the xxxx appropriately. You can use the legacy Report Writer tool on the Orion server to reverse engineer this.

APM_AlertsAndReportsData.ComponentName AS Component_Name,

APM_StatisticsUsage.AvgStatisticData AS Statistic_Data,

FROM

APM_AlertsAndReportsData INNER JOIN APM_StatisticsUsage ON (APM_AlertsAndReportsData.ComponentId = APM_StatisticsUsage.ComponentID)

WHERE

( DateTime BETWEEN xxxx AND xxxx )

Thank you for the help. I have the report created, but I am receiving this in my email output when trying to get the output into a file.

Unable
to retrieve url: https://solarwinds.logixhealth.com:443/Orion/Report.aspx?ReportID=368
using CSV type.

This is the same no matter which file type I choose.
