SQL variables ar eblank in APM alerts

Question

I am attempting to edit the "Alert me when a component exceeds a warning or critical threshold" alert to include both the threshold value and the current statistical value of the component.

However, the fields come out empty when I test the alert. I am using the ${Threshold-Statistic-Critical}, ${Threshold-Statistic-Warning}, ${Threshold-Statistic-Critical} and ${Threshold-Statistic-Warning} variables.

Any ideas?

Are you using the built-in function in alert manager to test the alert or are you actually manipulating the APM statistic so that it triggers the alert?

Keep in mind that if you're using the built-in test function and perform the test against a node that doesn't have the corresponding application monitor assigned to it, the aforementioned variables will be blank.
