I'm just getting started creating alerts to monitor some azure servers and I have inherited a half setup solarwinds setup with SAM.
One of the things I need to monitor is multiple app pools on 2 load balanced web servers running IIS.
I'm a bit confused about the difference between SAM and Appinsight for IIS, is that a feature of SAM or its own thing.If it is it's own thing is it possible to alert when a app pool goes down in SAM or is it really apples verse oranges?
