OA Core Monitoring?

Hello all!
     We are trying to monitor an instance of Oracle EBS and it's come up that we will need to monitor the JVM and the OA Core. I'm not very familiar with these, but what I grasp right now is that they are very similar and seem to be more of a version difference (OA Core for newer, JVM for not-as-new). Has anyone dealt with this before? Will this work the same as a standard JMX monitor?

Any insight would be welcomed.

General Resolution: We implemented a JMX Monitor for the JVM, a HTTP Monitor for the Web Page, and a Process monitor to round out the 'Overall' Resource Usage.
