If the license of solar winds products have been expired what happened !? which component of products are still working ?

You wont be able to get support nor updates but I do believe the product will remain working.

If you renew the product within 6 months you only pay 20% of the original cost value of the product.

If you want to renew it in a years time you will have to pay the full product price again.

Well, that's my understanding of it.

Bear in mind this isn't the official line to support, so you might want to raise a support ticket. I'd anticipate that if your product isn't licensed, don't expect it to work correctly!

That was my understanding from the sales people when we originally procured the product.

I currently run my Orion system without the licenses, I have renewed but have yet to find the time just to add the new license.

That being said, it is still running as it should.

Not sure if it applies to all, It does apply to the products which forms part of the Orion Platform.

Also take note that this wont be applicable if you just used the Evaluation version.

Still, I think it is good to renew the products as you will then have support from Solarwinds and all the Updated.

Trust me, the updates alone makes it worth it.

Just as a quick addition to what scvvuuren said, once your maintenance expires. SolarWinds does not guaranteed your eligibility to renew and it is possible you might need to repurchase an out of maintenance upgrade. Also, maintenance pricing is not determined by a percentage of the new license MSRP pricing, but by the value of the updates provided.

I would reach out to your renewal representative (or maintenance@solarwinds.com) and let them know you are interested in renewing, but you will pass (or are past) your expiration date.
