Phy Memory on a Windows 2008 Server

Have a server that has 6 GB RAM .

The disk volume report does show the correct stats

Physical Memory 6.0 GB

2.0 GB

33 %

However the Average CPU and Memory utilization gauge shows 98% memory utilization even though only 2GB is being used.

The total memory reported on this report is 2GB.

This is a Windows 2008 32 bit server.

any ideas on how to correct this ?

The most likely reason why Orion is reporting 98% memory utilization when you have 2GB of additional free memory is that the Operating System can't address it. Barring any black magic and voodoo, 32bit operating systems can only address a maximum of 4GB of RAM. While the additional memory will be acknowledged, recognized and reported by the operating system via BIOS the OS can't address this additional memory directly.

Windows 2008 standard has the limit of 4GB , however Windows Server 2008 Enterprise has a limit of 64GB.

Even if the system could only see 4GB , the memory utilization should be reported as 50% and not 98% . The system is currently using only 2GB.

Can you post a screenshot of the Average CPU Load & Memory Utilization Gauges and the Disk Volumes resources?
