Any problems encountered with SP4? I want to install ASAP to effect fixes. Thanks. -Debbi
I have the same question. I have on SP4 install schedule for next Thursday and another for the following Tuesday. Will I have any surprises?
I installed it yesterday and haven't seen any problems. There were a few people who had problems with the installer running due to files being in use but it seemed easy enough to get around.
Some of the little tweaks have been helpful.
I didn't have any problems and haven't see any thus far.
Just installed it and did not need to reboot. I shut down all services before I installed it and it restarted all services. No problems at all.
I just installed it without stopping the services manually. No problems. The services shutdown automatically and everything came back up and seems to be working fine.
Install for SP4 went smooth for me on an Orion server and one additional poller. It did resolve an issue we were having with the Orion web server "crashing" often.
But now we have the SWJobEngineWorker.exe showing 8+ instances on one serve, rendering the poller useless due to no system resources to do anything.
The Orion web server is up and stable, but the w3wp.exe service is hitting upwards of 800+ MB with one user ( me ) hitting the web site. This server is also useless now being there aren't any resources left to do anything.
Both pollers show very inconsistent data, if any at all. About all they are good for is showing us when an interface/node changes status... about 10 minutes after the change.
We aren't monitoring any wireless, and only have one custom poller running. Only one map on the main page. Already have a case # 114901
I installed with no issues and it seems to have fixed my map problems (did it 3 hrs ago).
I also see swjobengineworker processes taking more resources on my pollers, but not enough to disable.
not having the issue with the w3wp process.
JosephRLee, please open a support ticket so we can investigate what is going on to cause this behavior you are seeing
I do have one open. Received a call from one of your techs and he was able to get me working nice and clean again. Now I just have to work on getting our live servers updated.
Thanks.
My situation was the same as the quote above. One small trouble that I had...is best showcased in the attached screenshot. On the left is Network Atlas...and on the right is how EVERY map was displaying on the web. A restart of IIS resolved this. However...it was very very strange.
