Linux/Unix net-snmp integration

Are there any plans on making the integration of net-snmp for Unix based systems with Orion any easier? Having to use an old version of net-snmp has been problematic for us to say the least. I have to keep an old Openview server around just to monitor disk utilization as I haven't been able to get these systems working with Orion yet.

We do support the latest version of net-snmp.

Has anyone ever tried SNMPv3 with net-snmp, when I enable it I lose the ability to monitor interfaces and drives. I know that with v3 it requires you to specify views but I don't know where to put the view to allow Orion to see that information again.

We are using Orion with the latest net-snmp available to Gentoo Portage (5.4.1-r1) with no problems.

As for SNMPv3, We did have alot of problems with it the last time I tried, which was with the very first Orion 8.5. The nodes would simply stop being polled after a few days and I would have to delete them and add them back into Orion to get any data.

I have not tried with 8.5 SP3 yet, but our Linux guru is working on it. Hopefully we will have better luck. As for now however, using version v2c works perfectly.
