Anyone know why this monitor breaks randomly on 12.3?
Was just looking at this tonight.
I found this article and says if you face the "Unexpected error occurred. Call cancelled" message, you need to clean all *.tmp files and increase the polling interval and timeout from 300 to 600.

I also found the article which says that the component is just counting the number of files in the Temp folder and not counting the jet*.tmp files as it suggests.

So I have cleaned the windows\temp folder on two of our APEs and increased the timeout slightly. Manual component tests still take a long time but will monitor it to see if it improves.
I had this error across 6 of our additional pollers. After deleting the windows/temp folder on each of them they are now all returning results again.
So looks like the query is having trouble counting all the files in the folder and then times out. Also good to know it has little to do with the number of actual jet files as there are only a handful on each server
