9.0.0 SP2 - NT authenticated accounts

Hello, everyone. I don't know if this is something SP1 or SP2 brought in, but when I try to add a user in the web administration tool "DOMAIN\USER", the username and password fields are now -mandatory-. I thought these had to be blank for NT integrated authentication to Orion.

Is this a problem?

I get exactly the same so I guess this may be a general problem. I am running v9.0 SP2 and when you try to create the account if fails indicating that you should enter a password. Hopefully someone from Solarwinds might be able to confirm whether this is a known problem.

Just enter an arbitrary value for password. Orion will not check it, because it will trust the operating system for authorization. IMHO the instructions in the documentation could be more intelligible and extensive on this matter.

I want to note that if you're using EOC or plan to use EOC you will need to know that password or have the client know it. When you add the server, you have to add the password that is in the database in order for them to see any data.

I had one of my users test it out with a random password on his NT account and it worked out just fine. Thanks for the advice, tdvojmoc.

Has anyone heard if Orion will every support Domain Group Authenication so you do not have to set every user up individually? It would make adding users easier if you could just add them to a group which would have default views and permissions.
