Alert Engine 8.0 using wrong day alerts.

I have setup alerts for the weekend and the week days. Somehow the alert engine is using the wrong one. The system time is correct and the time and date are correct in the Active Alerts page. I have restarted the alert service but nothing changes.
Any ideas for me?
