FTP User Experience Monitor Credentials

We're running an older version of the Server and Application Monitor engine. I'm running into an issue where the FTP user credentials are being mangled by APM and I am wondering if anyone has seen this and knows of a workaround.

When I enter username@domain.com, what is actually being sent by the FTP User Experience Monitor is domain.com\username

I've tried various ways of working around this issue such as trying to include the credentials in the FTP URL being monitored and enclosing the username in quotes in the credential library (which resulted in domain.com"\"username), but haven't found a way to work around this.

The file we are attempting to monitor is hosted on an FTP server we do not control so I do not have the ability to configure a user that does not include the domain.

After reviewing the codebase it's possible that these FTP credentials are being manipulated/changed on the fly to transparently convert them from username@domain.ext, to domain\username format. If that's the case, it was likely implemented in this fashion to simplify the credentials handling for IIS FTP servers. That doesn't necessarily make it right.

If you would, please open a case with support for this issue so we can track it appropriately. We will likely need to look through your diagnostics to confirm your suspicions.

Our installation is not currently under support, however if you would like I can gather the diagnostics to help you correct this issue for other paying customers who may be encountering it at this time.
