Agent Installation using Mass Deployment Method

Hello Community!

We've installed Agents using Mass Deployment Method (BigFix as a software package distribution and installation).

The installation of Agents was successful. Now I'm working on post-installation tasks.

The problem I'm facing -

Agents are just showing Up/Down status of the nodes and other CPU/Memory/Disk resources are blank. If I perform List Resources from one agent it fetches the data and allows me to add them.

We have more than 800+ Agents. I do not want to perform List Resources manually on each server and add them one by one..

Do we have any better method to configured basic OS-level parameters monitoring to auto-discover the resources from the Agents which are reporting to Solarwinds?

I feel your pain.

I get that you don't want to enable all resources by default, or all volumes, but certainly some logic can be built it to at least cover the obvious volumes/resources.

Hello ganesh.suresh, I think we might have solution for you in latest release 2019.4 - please check this KB article Update resources on agent nodes in bulk. Let me know if that helped or in case of any questions.
