¿It's posible to get information of a website?

hello everyone,

I am a new in orion and I need to evaluate if Business Activity Monitor (APM of SolarWinds) will fit to my system.

But I don’t know sure if is possible to do with the SolarWinds solution the things that I want.

I would like to know which tools I need to use or if you have some documentation or demo for see and can do the next issues.

I have a WebSite for buy different Deals. But they have several problems when the people want to buy a product.

The want to monitoring different thinks but a little things are:

· Number of products I have active on the web

· How can I know if the Newsletter is sent and received correctly

· Check if the payment gateway is working correctly

· Number of people subscribe in the newsletter

· Number of people that buy a product

· Consume information from Webservice with username and Apikey

· Etc... ¿It's possible?

I think you're trying to get it to do things pretty far outside its intended purpose. If you need more specific help, you should contact Sales and get a Sales Engineer involved for more hands-on help than we can provide on thwack.

APM is not a Business Activity Monitor product. It's much more of an infrastructure monitoring product. APM does have a few very focused user-experience monitors. You might be able to write scripts to answer some of those, but it doesn't do that out of the box.

We are currently working on another product that will focus exclusively on synthetic transactions, and it may do more of what you're looking for, but even that product isn't doing business activity monitoring.

Hi Denny!

I try to do something with solarwins, I think that it is is posible to use for resolve some of my questions...

I try to conect a my data base (in MySql) to extract some information and after I want to print these information in a gadget. For instance, I would like to extract the value of a table the automatic way and work in a grafic with this number.

I am running the program and I go to "Edit Application Template", It's correct? I try to connect but I can't do it...

I don't know that it isn't correct...
