upgrading question from 9.1 to 10

Question

Hello,

I have met a question after upgrading ORION NPM from 9.1 to 10,and I have found all of alerts appear * instead of custom columns in Advance Alert Manager, and I can't find custom columns in edit advanced alert screen when I want to add a new condition with custom columns.Then I check Custom property Editor is fine, and I found custom columns also.

I don't know why I can't use custom columns in Advaced Alert Manger.

does anyone can help me?

The question was solved. This is a strange issue, I don't find these custom columns when I logon Orion server by ip address, but I find these columns when I logon the server by server name.

I don't know reason, but it is ok now.

It looks as though your custom properties did not make it through your upgrade. Can you:

* Go into Custom Property Editor (Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Grouping and Access Control > Custom Property Editor).
* Click Nodes.
* Is Owner there?
* Open your SolarWinds database in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
* Check the Nodes table to confirm whether or not Owner is there.

If Owner is NOT there, submit a Technical Support Ticket, so we can help you discover the issue.

If Owner IS in your database, run the Configuration Wizard again (Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard) and select the Database option.
