Mouse Over pop-up in Maps

I've seen a few really old posts on how people created custom pop-ups when you mouse over an object in one of the Orion Maps. Did something change to prevent this from being done in newer version of Orion? Can the pop-ups still be modified somehow to display other items besides, node name..IP...status...device type?

Actually I just posted about this quite recently.

I am running V8.1 and SW Support acknowledges that it is broken in this Version (even though I did have it working on an older V8.1 server).
Apparently this has been fixed in V8.5.1.

(I edited a file in the Windows Registry to get it working again - it appears to be a permissions issue between the IIS_User account and saving the setting to the registry).

ps -- someone at SolarWinds may want to tell their tech support about this, they told me it was not possible.
