Web enabled syslog

Hello, I’m interested in setting up a web enabled syslog. Has anyone had good luck with a specific product? I would like to tie it into the Orion website if that is possible as well as send alerts if specific events are logged. Currently we use the Syslog monitor that comes with the SolarWinds tool set but it’s very limited.

We are using Kiwi Syslogger and have it tied into our Orion webpage.
The syslogs events for each device are displayed on the node details page.
It takes a fair bit of .asp/vbs coding knowledge, but it can be done.

Kiwi can alert you for anything you want by searching the message for keywords.

Orion V7.6 will include a SysLog Server integrated into Network Performance Monitor. The SysLog Server is highly scalable and can send alerts on specific messages. It can also forward syslog messages to another SysLog server, generate traps, etc.

Orion V7.6 is in final testing now and should be available within a few weeks. (You may be able to get a pre-release next week).

Orion V7.6 also includes support for Hot-Standby Polling Engines that many large customers have needed for mission critical applications.

Just rumor mind you and no idea when 7.6 will be released.
