Need Help With File Monitors

I've been asked to perform a check and alert against an application server directory for:

- Any files that exist for longer than one hour

- Any new objects

- File count: "If by 11:45 am we do not have at least 90 files, alert"

I have never worked with this monitor before.  Simply trying to perform a file existence check fails for me with a "file not found," using full administrative credentials to the share and the file.  Does anyone out there do any of the above?  If so, could you share a screenshot of your associated component monitor to help me get my head around it?

Hi,

Yes, recently I did implement the file existence monitor.  I had it check for a file through out the day, and set it to alert when the file existed.  This was the need at the time.  But I had a file that I was looking for.  Then I set an advanced alert to trigger when the file existed longer then a determined number of minutes.  You will need to set your alerts around the components and trigger when needed. 

These components should help you out. 

For you file count tracking, try this advanced alert and set it to be active at 11:45am (time of day tab)
