Hi Everyone,
Hope you can help us with our issue. We have recently purchased Orion Solarwinds NPM 8.5, VOIP Monitor module and Netflow Analyser Module along with Engineer Toolset just last week.
We've installed all the application on a Windows 2003 Standard server. Now after adding some of our nodes we started creating network maps using Map Maker. But then yesterday while I was working on a map it came up with an "object variable" out of nowhere and when I click OK it closed down the Map Maker application. After re-opening the Map Maker Menu bar had dissappeared and we don't know how to restore it. We've even tried re-installing the Orion NPM and the map maker still doesn't have the menu bar on its window. After having a look around what might have caused this "object variable" error I found out it may have been caused by a node I added in the system manager (with ICMP only detection as its a security device with no SNMP enabled). Now when I go to Map Maker and expand this node it comes up with the "object variable" error and shuts down the Map Maker. Now as this is only an ICMP device so no interfaces would be available - so not sure why it would even be expandable - perhaps a software bug?
I've raised a ticket to the Solarwinds support but not sure how long it will take for them to respond (my colleague had raised another ticket for a different issue a few days back and still no response) as this is very urgent considering we can no longer complete new and existing maps as we can't access many of its functionalities. Hope anyone in this forum can assist in restoring our menu bars without having to re-install everything?
Thanks!
