edit custom HTML for Network Summary Home, from back-end instead of web interface

Hi, everyone. I setup the Network Summary Home to have some custom HTML, so that it scrolls the webpage down automatically. However, when I tried to revise the JavaScript, I coded something erroneously, and now the script never stops running, and the Network Summary Home is not responding.

Attempts to close and restart the web browser get stuck again after the inital login to the Network Summary Home. Thus, I cannot get to the Edit link in order to edit the raw HTML of the custom HTML section.

If I browse the Windows directory listing on the Orion server, how can I locate the file containing this custom HTML? I tried searching in C:\Inetpub\solarwinds\Orion but am not sure which file to edit. Please bear with me, as I am a web programming amateur, which is why I am in this predicament.

I deleted the file and (for the third time) re-ran the Configuration Wizard for just the Website component. During one previous attempt, I had reused the same website root directory. Another time, I created a new directory. Both times, the wizard stated that a website with the same name, IP address, and TCP port binding was found. If I answer "No", then it prompts for a different directory. If I answer "Yes", then it presumably reinstalls on top of what was already there.

In the end, the same problem persists; I can go to the login page, but after logging-in and being automatically taken to the Network Monitoring Home page, the bad JavaScript freezes-up the web browser (IE 7.0.5730.13).

update:

Thanks to the guys at SolarWinds support, this issue is now fixed. This was done by going to http://localhost/orion/admin and then into Manage Views (note: even if prompted for credentials, it will redirect to the admin menu afterwards). From there, the Network Monitoring Home page could be edited to remove the Custom HTML block with the offending JavaScript. Views could also be customized so that the Network Monitoring Home is no longer the default.

Have you tried running the Website portion of the Config. Wizard. Also you might try Add/Remove -> Change-> Repair of Orion to possibly resurrect the old website.

I tried both of your suggestions, and now when I go to localhost on the Orion server, the following error is displayed:

Server Error in '/' Application.

I re-ran the Configuration Wizard for the Orion server's local website. Now I can get past the above compilation error, and can access the web interface login screen. However, after logging-in, the broken JavaScript code is still in place. Thus, the web browser freezes-up after it begins to run the JavaScript, and we are back to the situation described in my original posting.

Go into C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\App_Code and delete the "..App_Code\NodeTree.cs file- and then re-run the Web portion of the Config. Wizard to rebuild the website.
