Create group using dynamic query

I am trying to create a group using a dynamic query.

Specifically, I want a group showing all nodes whos Custom properties are blank.

I have not found anyway to check for NULL or blank values.

This group would help me identify any nodes that have not been configured properly.

I would also like to do the same thing in a report but have the same issue.

In a report, you can select for nodes where each custom property matches the criterion "Is Empty".

In a dynamic query, select nodes where each custom property "is" and then leave the value field blank, like this:

That was the first thing I tried but I don't get any results. I have also tried "" and '' and NULL. Nothing seems to produce any results.

How about matching a single blank space ( )?

Tried that too. No luck.

I tried several variations, '', ' ', null, (), ( ), blank space, et al.

Nothing seems to parse, not even is NULL or Matches NULL..

For something like this I normally use a query for nodes not in a group;

select Caption from Nodes where not Caption in ( SELECT distinct FullName FROM ContainerMemberSnapshots where EntityDisplayName = 'Node' )

if you want to settle on a specific group, or naming convention for certain nodes try the following;

select n.Caption

from Nodes n where n.caption like 'abc%' and not n.Caption in -- Node Name Matching - remove if desired-> ' n.caption like 'abc%' and'

(

SELECT distinct cm.FullName

FROM ContainerMemberSnapshots cm

INNER Join Containers c on cm.containerid = c.containerid

where EntityDisplayName = 'Node' and c.name = 'GroupName' -- Matching a Specific Group by Name of Group - remove for all groups -> 'and c.name = 'GroupName'

)
