Physical memory 113%??

I monitor postgres on a Linux cluster and noticed that Postgres runs at 113% memory (I guess it uses some virtual memory too) but I don't know or know where to change the threshold. If I click on edit application I get the following options, which doesn't help me resolve my problem.

If I click on the node it's running on then it just gives me options to change thresholds, then it doesn't allow me to use more than 100%.

Does this need investigation from the Linux people. Or is it me being dense.

What is the memory when you physically connect?

My understanding was that virtual memory wouldn't count towards over all memory and would be treated separately? I could be wrong here though!

Try using $ free -m and see what values it gives you. Then try using Top to see how much is being used by your SQL process maybe?

That's the one thing I forgot.

When I initially checked the server, it was varying between 60 - 80% (which around an acceptable level for the work the server does)

It's not on a template, I simply added the service when I added the servers.

Also I've just remember I'm sure Buffered and Cashed Mem are counted towards Linux utli stats in Solarwinds. It would be worth checking if in total including Buff + Cash if it comes to 113%. If it does at least you know there is your issue.
