SQL 2005 Privileges

Question

Hi,

I am attempting to migrate our current Orion V8 database to one of our SQL 2005 Enterprise servers but am having issues with regards the required SQL user Privileges.

Does anyone know what privileges are required for the Orion database manager?

Due to other databases running on the SQL box the DBA will not allow SA access.

Has anyone found an answer to this?  I am also trying to determine if I can disable the SA user account without breaking Solarwinds.

Ok,

Once the installation is complete Orion has two accounts. One for database managment (the SA account) and the other i presume is for read/write access to the tables.

What would happen if i were to disable or delete the SA account??

Am i correct in thinking that the only things affected would be the Database Manager program and the database maintanence or would it cause more serious issues??

If possible create a username and password with Server Administrators as the primary group
