Policy based discovery

Wanted to know if this was on the road map as I have used products like CA eHealth which has this powerful feature to allow for discovery filtering based on a number of criteria as well as performing post processing tasks based on the filtering. All of these filters can be individual as well as combined.

Below are just a few examples, but I have many more.

Examples filters:

1: Ability Only discover CPU and Memory resources and the router/switc/firewall element

2: Ability Only discover interfaces based on ifType

3: Ability Only discover interfaces based on IfAlias

4: Ability to only add devices based on Vendor

Post process examples:

1: Ability to change element name, so remove DNS suffix as an example

2: Ability to group devices or interfaces based on ifType or ifAlias

Yes something very similar to this, but this a little broader. If x matches y then use these credentials, assign these values to the custom properties, assign these UnDP's, etc.

Not in the next release, but something we have had many discussions on.

Could I ask that we add this granularity to the discovery process as an enhancement request as it would benifit all users would deploy the SW product.

If you need any more details as to what would be benificial then let me know and I will put some together.
