Discovery of server

I'm extremely new to SolarWinds and have a question about Newtork Sonar discovery vs adding a node.   I'm in the process of discovering all of my servers into SW.    I'm running a Network Sonar discovery on multiple servers and would like to select specific volumes vs importing all of them that was found.  I know this can be done when I run a single discovery on a node.  

The problem is that is is driving up my element count on my pollers for volumes we don't care to monitor.

You can use Network Sonar Discovery to selectively choose each individual volume you'd like monitored on a particular host. To do so however, ensure that you are running a scheduled discovery rather than running the discovery 'now' in interactive mode. When the scheduled Network Sonar Discovery is complete you will then go to the 'Scheduled Discovery Results' and select the items you'd like to monitor before clicking "Import Nodes'.
