Node/interfaces added/removed in events table. Suppressing them.

I at one time found on the net how to prevent node/interfaces from showing up in the event table when they were added or removed.  Does anyone remember how to do this?  Much in the same way this thread is asking but was never answered.  10.3.1 all interface added/removed

I had to restored from an old backup and that little trick was removed when I did.  Running version 10.3.1
