Is there a way to supress the informational pop-ups when hovering over objects?

I am trying to create a login and view for a particular interface on a router, but cannot seem to supress the node and then the pop-up on the node when you hover over it that shows utilization stats. Is it possible to filter this functionality for a particular view?

Edit the file “C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\js\NetObjectTips.js” and remove the following lines:
    $("a[tooltip!='processed'][href*='NetObject=']").livequery(function() {
        this.tooltip = 'processed';
        $.swtooltip(this);
    });
