The evil of Internet Explorer 9.0

Is anyone having issues with Solarwinds and IE 9.0 ?

Some of the new mouse-over style chart tabs are not displaying correctly. The text in the tabs is all "crunched" together.

I'm also getting non-stop nag messages about wanting to install the Solarwinds toolset api , even when I copied the file to the correct directory and entered my admin credentials. As soon as I navigate away from the page, it nags me again about wanting permissions to install it . I'm sure UAC is part of this problem.

The easiest fix I found was to use IE 8.0, Firefox, or Chrome

I'm not having issues with IE9 myself, but one of my co-workers was the other day. It turned out to be an issue with McAfee having an internet firewall that masked the user agent. Even with UAC completely disabled, he was prompted for this on every page change. When he turned off the McAfee internet firewall, the issue went away. Just my $0.02.

Regarding toolset integration - depending on your preferences you should be able either to disable toolset integration:

or install it manually to get it working:

...but anyway, using different browser is good choice
