Asset Management and SQL Server Edition Reporting

I need to use the data within SAM to tell me which servers have Enterprise, Standard, Developer, or Express edition of SQL installed.

I also need to be able to report on the number of cores as well as the number of CPUs.

I can get SQL version (2008, 2012R2, etc)  but have not been able to get the editions.

Any solutions to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

For SQL instances monitored by AppInsight for SQL you can create a new report and add the "Edition" field, which will populate with the name of the SQL Server Edition being monitored. E.G. Standard, Enterprise, etc.
