Migrate Solarwinds Platform from windows 2012 to windows 2019

Hi All,

Need advice on the best practice to migrate all my solarwinds server and sql server to latest windows 2019 and sql server 2017

currently we are having 10 APE , 3 AWS. currently we are running on 2018.2 hf4 orion platform

what in my mind right now . are we able to just run the latest solarwinds installer and install the latest version to connect to the current sql db.?

please wrote down you suggestion. really appreciate your help.

Also of benefit will be the Product Upgrade Advisor | SolarWinds Customer Portal

If I understand your current idea correctly you would like to build all new servers and connect them to the existing database?  If this is correct then the new servers would also need to be running 2018.2 HF4, which could then be upgraded after migration.
