Currently the Solarwinds DB server is using MSSQL 2008 R2.
We would like to apply Service Pack 1 to MSSQL 2008 R2.
Would someone please advise is Solarwinds capable on SQL 2008 R2 SP1?
Thanks.
Hi keitarohkz--
Yes. This is stated in the OS Requirements section of the Admin Guide:
Hi Daniel,
Sorry, I would like to ask about the SP1 on the Database, MSSQL 2008 R2, not on the OS.
SolarWinds Development have confirmed that "we have no known issues with (SQL Server) 2008 R2 SP1."
HTH,
It looks like some time has passed on this question. While there is some confirmation, I would like to know if there is a definitive answer from Solarwinds yet. My DBA is asking to update our SQL 2008 install to SP1, and I would like to give an answer that is certain. Does anyone know at this time? Thanks-
Scott,
With the release of NPM 10.3.1 they added support for SQL 2012, so I'd assume that NPM will work with SQL 2008 R2 SP1. I'ts running without issue on our implementation. I'm not sure if you'll get an "official" statement.
