Advanced Alerts for Exchange Servers not Working

Hi,

I have set up various advanced disk space alerts on my exchange servers which should trigger when they reach the threshold but they are not doing. I have set up alerts at 35%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 95% with different drives in them but also they have the same drives in as well. Can anyone see anything wrong with the way this alert is set up and give me any handy advice?

The logic of the alert won't work. You've set up all the volumes names as an "AND"--that's what "all" does in your first trigger statement. So you're saying that the volume name has to be X and Y and Z to trigger, and that can't happen. You need to reconfigure so that the names are set up under "any", which will give you a boolean "OR".

Any chance that you can give me an example of what you mean as I am struggling with this and my alerts on Exchange aren't working.

One way to simplify this and make things easier for you in the future might be to create a Volume Custom Property where you might create a Text Field labeled Application and label all those volumes associated with Exchange. Then your alert logic could simply be

If its a removable disk AND Volume Application = Exchange (or whatever you choose) AND Percent Utilization GT or = 95%

This way as you add servers and volumes over time you won't have to go back and edit this alert.
