Alerting Question - Message that goes out when an alert is triggered

Hello THWACK!

I am trying to figure out if I can update an alert so it shows more information when the email is generated. When the top alert is generated it fills in the variables with what happened and sends out an alert. When the bottom alert goes out it does not update any of the variables it sends out the alert with what is in bottom part of the image below. Can I update the bottom alert to look like the top?

Not sure if this matters but for the top alert it is configured to check on an application and the second alert is set to configure on a component. Thanks!

Yes i can. So the top image the top alert in my post and the bottom image is the bottom one. And thanks!!

You need to change the variables the ones you are using are for Nodes for instance for node name to appear on the 2nd email it should be formatted like this.

Ahh ok. So a bit more background on this issue for some reason a few weeks back the alert stopped reporting on status so I opened a ticket with support and we switched how the alert was configured and changed it to object. I will have a look and see if that fixes it.

Just to expand on neomatrix1217's erudite observations: The first field (components with problems) will NEVER work, because that is an application-specific field. Your second alert is focused on individual components. The other fields may or may not populate depending on the component in question. when selecting your fields, make sure the selectors are all set to the "component" category and you should find what you are looking for.

Thanks! I am working off the list of variables to get the email of the alert working with actual data hopefully my changes will work.
