How can one Create a New Report in the Web Based Report Manager for Eos, (etc.)

I would like to take advantage of the End of Sale - End of Life information in NPM now that I am at v11.5.2.

I can't seem to find the correct items in the Web Based selections for reporting this information.

I am looking for the Node Name, Node part number, Serial Number (if supported), End of Sales, End of HW Maintenance, End of Software Maintenance, End of Support.

I have found it in the SQL Database and before going to release 11.5.2, I actually created that report using an SQL query. Rather than change the Report Writer Report, I thought I would try to go along with the Solarwinds product path like a good doobie.

Am I missing something here?

I wanted to create a simple report using the web-based report writer that lists all the nodes with expired EOS

I was able to do this as follows:

Start with the "End of Support" report. this assumes that you have the EoS dates for the nodes already in NCM

Duplicate and Edit the report

Edit the "End of Supported Devices" data

this is the default that will list ALL the devices with an EoS date

Change to

Report date.JPG

This is where my report can be improved - I had to manually enter a date. Every time the report is run, it will use the manually set date. The date then has to be changed as needed every time the report is run.

IF you can find a way to auto select the date (e.g. less than or equal to 6 months), then it would greatly improve the report.

Edit the default columns to what you need

Preview the results

You can edit the query to be more specific to what you need, e.g. specific manufacturers, models, location etc

I wanted more information and I finally wrote an SQL Query in Report Writer. Please note that Your report looks very good as well. Thanks.

Using SQL, one can query by date value as well, if needed. I would use a "Where" statement based on the value of the date field chosen, whether custom (most accurate) or whatever.

My SQL query follows for all to see and work from should you want to do so. I do NOT have the Date query in it. I figured that human calculation would be just as good and it simplified the code.
