SQL 2008 Web edition

We are looking at upgrading our SQL server as its currently 2000. Can anyone tell me if SQL 2008 Web edition will do the job? We use orion for our customers to login and few network stats so its a public website for our customers. Just would like to confirm if anyone has tried web SQL 2008?

I don't know if anyone is using SQL 2008 Web edition, however, it should be fine. We have formally tested on it, but we work on SQL Express. You should also look here and make sure you don't use any of the features/functions that this edition doesn't support, see here
