When listing resources for a server, it comes up with nothing. It had been working previously just fine. Any idea what might cause this and a fix?
How is the node managed in Orion? SNMP, WMI, Agent?
I've had the same issue a long time ago and found that its either because of the following:
- Server's SNMP configuration is not properly routed to Orion
- Problem with the Orion server's services.
If its the latter, you may want to follow steps outlined on this KB article:
(Only the Repair the Job Engine, Job Engine V2, Collector Service)
http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/2517/Collector+Data+Processor+and+Collector+Polling+Controller+start+and+stop+intermittently
SNMP.
Have you tried restarting the SNMP Daemon on the remote host?
I am facing the same issue with lot of differents devices. If you find the solution please share, I am still looking for informantion and I will test what janene16 says.
Thanks and best regards.

Is the node managed by an additional polling engine?
things to test:
SNMP service running on node
SNMP configured on node with proper community string, accepting packets from the Orion host
SNMP community string is set in the node properties in Orion
SNMP connectivity between Orion and the node (i use SNMPtester on the Orion server)
make sure SNMP is allowed thru firewalls if present
if the node has multiple IP's, check SNMP connectivity against all IP's, you might be monitoring with the wrong IP
sometimes i have to uninstall and then reinstall the SNMP service on a node (Win 2008 mostly).
Hey aflores have you had any luck with running List resources on your managed nodes?
yes, what i have done was to change the poll metod and repair the job engine, job engine 2 and collector, that is how this works for me.
