How to export the reports in the excel/text format from console

Dear Sir

I want to export the reports in excel format from the console page of the NMS. Currently when i click on the reports it just opens in the console and there is no option of exporting it in excel or text format except the print option. I can do it from the programs->solarwinds orion->alerting,reporting and mapping->report writer in the server only but can not from its console(or when it opens in web browser of any PC).How can it be done from the console or bring that functionality in the console.

Ah that would be why. This was a new feature in NPM 10.1 which we just released recently. If you upgrade to 10.1 you will see this new option there.

Back before Orion was completely asp.net, there was a way to customize the report page to add the same Raw Data button that exists on any of the charts you can display in the web console.

The only way I know to do it now is to open the report you want to export in your browser. Once the report is open, type "&DataFormat=Excel" (without the quotes) to the end of the web link in your browser's address area.

For example, if you open the Availability - Yesterday report, the web address will look something like:

yourOrionServer/.../Report.aspx

If you add the data format statement to the end of the web address:

yourOrionServer/OrionReport.aspx and then press enter, your browser should download the report as an .xls file.

Also in NPM 10.1 we added the ability to directly export a pdf from the web console as well. You can also schedule reports to be delivered in pdf too.
